The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Akatsi South Municipality, Daniel Dagba, has directed a contractor working on the Wute Health Center project to remove substandard roofing sheets and replace them with higher quality materials to ensure the durability of the facility.

During a recent visit to the project site while on his way to Logotey about two weeks ago, the MCE inspected the ongoing works at the health center. He discovered that the contractor had used 0.2 gauge roofing sheets instead of the 0.4 gauge roofing sheets he had earlier directed to be used for the project.

Expressing his dissatisfaction, Dagba immediately instructed the contractor to remove the roofing sheets and replace them with the 0.4 gauge sheets as originally directed to meet the required standards.

Following the directive, the contractor has since removed the substandard sheets and is currently roofing the facility with the approved 0.4 gauge materials.

The action by the MCE has been widely commended by residents and stakeholders, who say it demonstrates his commitment to quality assurance, accountability, and the proper use of public resources in the execution of development projects.

The Wute Health Center, when completed, is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare services for residents of Wute and surrounding communities.

Dagba has been praised for his strict supervision of public projects and his unwavering commitment to ensuring that contractors adhere to the highest standards in the delivery of infrastructure for the people of Akatsi South Municipality.
