Dr Kwame Nkrumah's family honours Ellembelle MP for preserving his legacy

The Nvavile family of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President, at Nkroful, his birthplace, has shown appreciation to Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, for his efforts in promoting the legacy of their father, grandfather, and uncle.

The Nvavile family of Nkroful said the dedication of Buah to the first President has transformed the Kwame Nkrumah Museum at Nkroful into a state-of-the-art tourist destination.

Their acknowledgment was contained in a citation to Armah-Kofi Buah, who is also the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, when the head of the Kwame Nkrumah family, Adwobia Kpanyinli, led a delegation of family members to pay a courtesy call on the MP at the AYA Community Center, at Ampain in the Western Region.

The family presented a citation, clothes, and a ram as a symbol of appreciation to the MP.

The gesture was also to encourage Buah to continue to honour the memory of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, for his immense contributions to the development of Ghana and the rest of Africa.

Mr. Buah reiterated his unflinching commitment to continue his advocacy and education of the legacy of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

The MP annually champions the celebration of the Nkrumah Festival (NkrumahFest) at Nkroful on September 21, the birthday of the founder of Ghana.

He has also renovated the Kwame Nkrumah Museum and mausoleum at Nkroful.

The Ellembelle MP has tabled various motions on the floor of Parliament to lay statements about the legacy of Dr Kwame Nkrumah and his massive transformation of the nation with industries, job creation, and infrastructural development.
