Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah, founder of House of Divine Glory Church
US-based Ghanaian prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah has mourned the victims of the helicopter crash in Tema Community One, while urging prayers and mercy for the city following the tragic incident.
The helicopter reportedly plunged from the sky and crashed into the Oninku Drive School Park on Monday, March 16, killing two people on board.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service rushed to the scene to put out the flames, while officers from the Ghana Police Service assisted in securing the area and retrieving the charred bodies of the victims.
Assemblyman for the Kwesi Plange Electoral Area, Ahmed Abdullia, confirmed that no students were injured in the incident despite the crash occurring within a school park in the community.
In a message shared on social media after the tragedy, Prophet Alla-Mensah, founder of House of Divine Glory Ministry International, expressed sorrow over the development.
“TEMA HELICOPTER CRASH, GOD SHOW MERCY. May the souls of the dead rest in peace,” he wrote.
The post was shared alongside an intercessory prayer he had published on March 6, in which he prayed for divine protection over Tema.
In that message, he asked for God’s mercy over the city and prayed against potential disasters, including fires, explosions, and sudden emergencies.
Authorities are yet to establish the cause of the crash as investigations continue, while tributes and condolences continue to pour in for the victims.
