James Nkansah, a journalist and programs coordinator for a UK based Ghanaian businessman, Richard Agyare, has issued a passionate call for the preservation of the peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims in Ghana.

Describing religious harmony as a cornerstone of national security and stability, the voiciferous journalist said, Ghanaians needed to value and protect the enviable inter-faith cordiality we have.

Nkansah aka Principal emphasized that any friction between the two major faiths in the country, if care is not taking, could jeopardize the safety of the nation.

He urged all citizens to continue to cherish and protect the unique bond shared by the religious communities especially between Christians and Muslims.

"When conflicts arise between Christians and Muslims, it makes a country unstable and threatens its security. Therefore, we must continue to cherish and enjoy the peace that exists between our two major faiths in the country. It is a peace we must never take for granted," he stated.

The call for continuous unity came when Nkansah visited the Saboa Zongo Mosque at Offinso on behalf of Richard Agyare to show solidarity with the Muslim community during the Ramadan fast.

James Nkansah aka Principal said, Agyare who lives in the UK and is known for these gestures, thought it wise to support the Muslim community within the Offinso constituency so that they could pray for the mercies of Allah to befall the area adding that the beautiful co-existence between Christians and Muslims in the country, worth it a great offer to support each other during these occasions.

He further disclosed that seven other mosques across the Offinso South area benefitted from the UK Based Philanthropist's gesture.

At the various centers, he donated various food items, including sugar, milk, Milo, and bread, to support the worshippers as they observe their fast.

In addition to the aforementioned items presented to the people of the Saboa Zongo Mosque, a well furnished information center which was solely funded by Agyare, was commissioned and handed to the community.

The ceremony was honored and led by Nkansah, the Zongo chiefs and imams, the assembly member and his committee among others.

While presenting the items and handing over the information center, Nkansah humbly requested the spiritual support of the Muslim brothers, asking them to remember Agyare and his team and their aspirations in their daily prayers.

"To our Muslim brothers, we have come to pray with you during this Ramadan. As we make these donations, we humbly plead with you to remember us in your prayers, so that Allah may grant us the strength to achieve our visions for the community," he added.

The leaders of the various mosques expressed their gratitude for the gesture, commending the UK Based Agyare for his commitment to fostering unity and supporting the vulnerable during the sacred month.
