Another gory crash on Kintampo-Tamale Highway kills four persons

Four people have perished in another tragic crash involving a Kia Truck and Sprinter Benz Bus on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that the crash occurred at Dawadawa, a community along the stretch in the Bono East Region.

During a visit to the scene, residents told the GNA that the passenger bus with registration number GT 5209-16 collided head-on with the Kia Rhino truck with registration number GE 5377-21.

It happened in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, 2026, and the 18 others who sustained various degrees of injuries were in critical condition.

They are responding to treatment at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at a morgue in the area.

A similar crash occurred in the early hours of Good Friday and left nine people dead, with 27 others sustaining various degrees of injuries.

That crash happened around 0300 hours and involved a head-on collision between a cargo truck with registration GR-4958-K and passenger bus with registration GS-2564-20.
