The wife of the Asantehene, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, organized a joyous Easter party for over 400 orphans in the Ashanti Region. The event, held at the site of the proposed Kumasi Children’s Park in Amakom, was hosted under the auspices of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation.

Held on Monday, April 6, 2026, the occasion also served as an opportunity for Lady Julia to reaffirm her commitment to revitalizing the children’s park.

During the event, Lady Julia interacted with the children, sharing food, drinks, and chocolates, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere.

Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the importance of caring for children in orphanage homes.

"These children will soon take the leadership mantle and lead the country in different areas and posts, hence they deserve the best of treatment, love, and training," she said.

Lady Julia also announced her resolution to revitalize the Kumasi Children’s Park, a project she believes will play a vital role in shaping the lives of the region’s children.

"We have for years organized such parties, and I hope we do it better next year to put smiles on their faces again," she added.

Board Chairman of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, Oheneba Boakyea Woahene Agyei, commended Lady Julia for her love and care for the children. He reiterated the foundation’s commitment to supporting the park’s revitalization, highlighting its potential to positively impact the lives of children in the region.

The foundation is calling on all stakeholders to support the completion of the children’s park, which promises to provide a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, play, and grow.

"These children will soon take the leadership mantle and lead the country in different areas and posts, hence they deserve the best of treatment, love, and training," Lady Julia Osei Tutu reiterated.
