Alex Kwaku Asafo Agyei is the Director-General of the Ghana Scholarship Authority
The Ghana Scholarships Authority has entered into a strategic partnership with FANAKA International University College to provide tuition-free higher education opportunities for qualified Ghanaians.
The initiative, which forms part of efforts to expand access to tertiary education, will see an initial batch of 60 beneficiaries receive sponsorship to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management for the May 2026 academic intake.
According to details contained in the official announcement, all successful applicants under this scheme will benefit from a tuition-free first year, with the possibility of continued sponsorship support from the Ghana Scholarships Authority in subsequent years.
The programme is open to applicants with qualifications including WASSCE, SSCE, GCE Advanced Level, and ABCE, provided they meet the required academic standards in core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics.
Applications for the scholarship are currently open, with prospective candidates required to apply through FANAKA’s official website. The deadline for submission of applications is May 1, 2026.
Officials behind the initiative have encouraged eligible Ghanaians, particularly young people seeking career paths in procurement and supply chain management, to take full advantage of the opportunity.
The collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to reducing financial barriers to higher education while equipping young people with skills for national development.
