Blaze destroys two commercial containers at Baifikrom

A fire outbreak in the early hours of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, has left traders at Baifikrom in Mankessim in the Central Region counting their losses after two metal containers used for business were destroyed.

According to a report by adomonline.com, the blaze, which started before dawn, quickly spread through the containers, burning intensely and raising fears that it could extend to nearby structures.

By the time emergency responders arrived, the fire was already well advanced, with flames rapidly consuming the containers and everything inside them.

Several items were lost in the inferno, including car seats, foam, office chairs, and a television set, leaving the affected business owners with significant damage to their livelihoods.

However, swift efforts to control the fire helped prevent an even bigger disaster, as responders managed to save two other metal containers that were at risk of being engulfed by the flames.
