Adamu Kasim re-elected Presiding Member with unanimous endorsement

Adamu Osman Kasim, has been re-elected as a Presiding Member for a second term following a successful election held by the Ho West District Assembly.

The election held on April 17, at Dzolokpuita got Kasim went unopposed and secured 100 per cent endorsement from members, reflecting strong confidence in his leadership and performance.

A total of 25 Assembly Members, 12 Government Appointees, and the District Chief Executive participated in the voting process, all casting “Yes” votes to confirm his position for the next two years.

The election, conducted by officials of the Electoral Commission of Ghana and led by District Electoral Officer Kafui Randolph, described the process as smooth and transparent.

Following the declaration of results, Kasim was sworn into office by His Worship Albert Annor, the District Magistrate, to officially begin his second term.

In his acceptance speech, Kasim expressed gratitude to members for their overwhelming support and trust in his leadership.

“I am deeply grateful for the confidence reposed in me. I will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure balanced and inclusive development across the district,” he stated.

He pledged to remain accessible and committed to his responsibilities, urging members to maintain unity and work collectively towards advancing development in Ho West.

Francis Dussey, the District Chief Executive, commended the Presiding Member for his dedication and effective leadership.

“Working with Kasim has been encouraging. His commitment to duty and cooperation has contributed significantly to the Assembly’s work,” he noted.

Dussey urged him to sustain the momentum, adding, “We expect continued collaboration and focus as we work together to deliver on our development agenda.”

The ceremony was witnessed by some key stakeholders, including Benjamin Tefe of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), who encouraged members to remain committed to local governance and development.

The unanimous decision by the Assembly signals strong unity and a shared commitment among members to promote progress and stability in the Ho West District.
