The equipment is expected to help beneficiaries either start small-scale businesses or expand existing ventures, reducing reliance on external support.

District Chief Executive, Isaac Nsiah, encouraged recipients to remain determined and not allow disability to limit their ambitions.

He urged them to make productive use of the items by investing in income-generating activities or pursuing skills training through apprenticeship programmes.

Also addressing the gathering, Ibrahim Mustapha, District Director of the Department of Social Welfare, called for stronger support systems and greater inclusivity.

He emphasised that persons with disabilities are an integral part of society and should be given equal opportunities to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Beneficiaries described the intervention as timely and life-changing, expressing gratitude for the support, which they said would significantly improve their living conditions.
