Two killed, five injured in tragic crash on Accra-Cape Coast Highway

Two persons have lost their lives in a fatal road crash at Third Ridge Junction along the Accra-Cape Coast Highway, while five others sustained varying degrees of injury.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 28, 2026, when a heavily loaded tipper truck was forced into a critical manoeuvre after an oncoming vehicle reportedly veered into its lane while overtaking.

According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred when the tipper truck attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle that had veered into its lane while overtaking.

In the process, the truck reportedly lost control, causing it to overturn and fall onto a saloon car carrying two occupants.
