A young man, Felix Owusu Gyamfi, has alleged that a chief in Manso Watreso in the Ashanti Region threatened to kill him and barred him from the town after he reported an alleged brothel run by a Nigerian woman to the police, a complaint that led to her arrest.
Speaking in an interview with Crime Check TV aired on April 28, 2026, Felix, a resident of Manso Watreso, said he became concerned after allegedly discovering that a Nigerian national was operating a brothel in the community.
He further claimed that underage girls were being exploited and that some of the activities involved explicit sexual acts carried out in public view.
According to him, he recorded the incidents and shared them on social media as part of his effort to alert authorities.
Felix said his actions later led to police intervention.

He explained that after posting the video, he was invited by the Manso Nkwanta Divisional Police Commander, where he presented the footage, resulting in the arrest of the woman allegedly involved in running the brothel.
Following the arrest, Felix said he was summoned by the chief of the community and he complied, going to the palace.
He recounted that upon arrival, he was asked to sit, but a man identified as Ohene, believed to be an associate of the arrested woman, prevented him from taking a seat and instead forced him to sit on the floor, allegedly striking him hard in the chest.
According to Felix, tensions escalated at the palace.
He claimed that after he explained his reasons for reporting the Nigerian national to the police, Ohene and three others assaulted him in the presence of the chief.
He also alleged that the chief remarked that he would have joined in the assault if not for an injured hand.
Felix further stated that the chief openly expressed anger over his actions and told him that the Nigerian woman would return to continue her activities, adding that he would be driven out of the community for causing her arrest.
He also alleged that the chief issued a direct death threat, warning that he would be killed if he was seen in the community again.
“The chief informed me that the Nigerian would return to continue her work, and that I would be driven out of the community as I was no longer needed. He further threatened that if he saw me in the community, he would have me killed and my body disposed of,” Felix recounted.
He added that he subsequently reported the alleged threats by the chief to the Manso Nkwanta Divisional Police. Fearing for his safety, Felix said he has since been staying in a guest house away from the community.
“The crime officer in that division called to inform me that the chief had been invited to report to the station. He assured me that if the chief failed to comply, they would proceed to arrest him,” he added.
