Head Pastor of the church, Rev. Victus Hornam
As part of activities marking Father's Day, Goodness City Chapel has honoured fathers for their contributions to their families, the church, and society.
Speaking at the event, the President of the Men's Fellowship of Goodness City Chapel, Edward Bonney, urged Christian fathers to impart godly knowledge and values to their families and the wider community.
He also called on the church to support children who have been abandoned by their fathers and help them grow in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The Head Pastor of the church, Rev Victus Hornam, urged fathers to be responsible and make adequate time for their families.
He highlighted the important roles fathers play in the home and advised absentee and irresponsible fathers to change their behaviour and become more committed to their wives and children.
Rev Hornam further encouraged men of God to help rescue children from the streets, nurture them, and guide them to become responsible citizens.
"Let us be responsible, available, and accessible to our families. Let us allow our wives, children, and family members to have access to us so they can gain wisdom, guidance, and all that they need from us."
Some members of the church's board, who spoke to the media, also urged fathers to make themselves available to their children and desist from adultery.
One of the board members, George Mensah, cautioned men against fornication, stressing that self-discipline remains the key to living a responsible and exemplary life.
