Residents of Overseas, a suburb of Bibiani in the Western North Region, have been left shocked following the discovery of the body of an unidentified man in a manhole under circumstances that remain unclear.
The deceased, believed to be in his thirties, was found lifeless inside the uncovered manhole on Wednesday after some masonry workers reportedly went to fetch water in the area.

According to a report by myjoyonline.com, the grim discovery quickly drew the attention of residents, many of whom gathered at the scene as news of the incident spread through the community.
Although the man's identity remains unknown, residents say he is not familiar with the area, raising further questions about how he ended up in the manhole.
An eyewitness, Stephen Donkor, said the alarm was raised immediately after the body was spotted, prompting residents to alert the authorities.
Police from the Bibiani Command later arrived at the scene and retrieved the body for further examination. During the recovery process, blood was reportedly seen oozing from the nostrils of the deceased.
The body has since been conveyed to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary, where it is being preserved pending identification and further investigations.
Police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances leading to the man's death and to determine whether foul play may have been involved.
The incident has also sparked concerns among some residents over uncovered manholes in the area, with calls for authorities to take steps to prevent similar occurrences.
