Brong Ahafo REGSEC appeals to teachers to rescind strike

Sunyani, March 5, GNA - The Brong Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC), has appealed to teachers to restore their services and participat= e in the upcoming 54th independence anniversary celebration on Sunday for the sake of the national interest and cohesion. The council asked teachers who were contemplating to boycott the March 6 anniversary parade to reconsider their decision. Mr Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo, Regional Minister and Chairman of REGSEC mad= e this known to newsmen after an emergency meeting of the council in Sunyani on Friday. He said REGSEC appreciated and shared the grievances and concerns of the teachers as articulated by their national and local leaders. Mr Nyamekye-Marfo assured the teachers that their grievances were bein= g addressed by the government.
