Staff of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA) across the country are celebrating the approval of their migration and staff placement by the Ministry of Finance.

The approval was announced at a gathering at the Agency's headquarters in Accra, attended by the Executive Director, Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, Regional Directors, District Directors and staff.

Kwesi Ashiamah said management's letter issued by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to the Ministry of Finance had been approved.

He said the journey began with nationwide tours where staff lamented years of stagnation, with some spending 9, 10, 12 and even 15 years without salary increases or movement on the salary structure.

"Today, as we speak, the Ministry of Finance has approved the migration and staff levels of the Complementary Education Agency," Kwesi Ashiamah announced.

"From the watchman in Wa, the watchman in Bolga, the cleaner over there - once your name was brought for migration, everybody is included," he added.

He said all staff would be migrated onto the new salary structure by the end of August 2026, with an effective date of July 1, 2026, and one month of arrears covering July 2026 to be paid.

Kwesi Ashiamah commended staff for their patience and hard work and assured them that management would continue to work to make the Agency a better place.

The announcement was met with cheers and applause from staff present, who described the development as long overdue and a major boost to morale.
