Richard Nii Armah Quaye, Ga Mantse champion education with Ga-Dangbe scholarship scheme

Ghanaian business magnate and philanthropist Richard Nii Armah Quaye, in collaboration with the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is set to launch a scholarship scheme aimed at supporting brilliant but financially challenged students from the Ga-Dangbe community.

The initiative, which will be officially launched on Monday, September 14, seeks to expand educational opportunities for young people within the community while fostering unity and collective investment in the development of the Ga-Dangbe people.

The scholarship programme forms part of a broader effort to ensure that deserving students are not denied access to education because of financial constraints. It is also expected to encourage individuals, corporate bodies and institutions within the Ga-Dangbe community to contribute towards nurturing future scholars, professionals and leaders.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, Founder and President of the RNAQ Foundation, said the initiative goes beyond providing financial support to beneficiaries and represents a long-term vision to build a stronger and more united Ga-Dangbe community.

He noted that the programme would promote a culture of giving back by encouraging successful members of the community to invest in opportunities that benefit future generations.

Quaye, who hails from the Ga-Dangbe community, said the scholarship initiative forms part of his commitment to supporting the development of his people through education and empowerment.

The launch event is expected to bring together traditional leaders, community members and key stakeholders to underscore the importance of education and shared responsibility in shaping the future of the Ga-Dangbe community.

According to Quaye, investing in education is critical to producing a new generation of scholars, professionals and leaders who will contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the Ga-Dangbe people and the development of Ghana.
