Togbe Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe engages 15 RAI Scholarship students

Former Ghanaian Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, Togbe Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has urged beneficiaries of the Relief and Aid International (RAI) Scholarship to remain disciplined, focused and dedicated to their academic pursuits.

Addressing a new cohort of RAI scholarship beneficiaries in Accra, Togbe Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe emphasised the importance of humility, hard work and perseverance in achieving academic and personal success.

He challenged the students to constantly reflect on their humble beginnings and future aspirations, urging them not to lose sight of their goals.

“Study diligently to excel in life,” Togbe Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe advised. “Remember where you were before these scholarships and where you want to be. Work hard, and if you fail to do so, you won’t get anywhere at all.”

Founded six years ago by senior medical practitioner Dr. Peggy Naa Ayikailey Adamafio, Relief and Aid International has steadily expanded its philanthropic activities, supporting a total of 62 students to date.

The 15 new beneficiaries for the 2026–2027 academic year are pursuing undergraduate degree programmes in fields including Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Accountancy, Agricultural Science, Communications and Administration at the University of Ghana and the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UNIMAC).

The mentorship session with Togbe Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a trained medical doctor, was aimed at inspiring academic resilience and instilling a strong sense of civic responsibility and patriotism among the beneficiaries.

He also encouraged the students to give back to society after completing their education and to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to national development.

Speaking on behalf of their colleagues, two of the beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Peggy Adamafio and the foundation for the support.

They pledged that the new cohort would maintain high academic standards, remain committed to their studies and successfully complete their respective programmes.

Beyond its flagship educational scholarship programme, Relief and Aid International undertakes a range of social intervention initiatives.

These include the provision of monthly welfare packages for the aged, potable water systems for deprived communities, and business capital support for low-income families.
