Charles Owusu Juanah, Esq., has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), calling on all members to unite and work towards rebuilding the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

In a congratulatory message following the NPP’s Delegates Conference in Kumasi, Juanah said the outcome of the elections should not be viewed as a victory for individuals, factions or particular camps, but as a victory for the entire party.

He said the mandate entrusted to the new leadership came with the responsibility to unite the party, strengthen its structures, restore confidence among members and supporters, and prepare the NPP for the challenges ahead.

“This victory must be seen not as the victory of individuals, factions or particular camps, but as a victory for the entire NPP,” he said.

Juanah also extended his message to candidates who contested the various positions but were unsuccessful, urging them not to regard the outcome as a rejection of their contributions to the party.

According to him, the NPP still needs the experience, expertise, ideas and commitment of all the contestants as it seeks to rebuild and reposition itself.

“I therefore urge all contestants and their supporters to come together and offer their respective strengths to the collective effort of rebuilding and repositioning the Party,” he said.

Call for reconciliation

Juanah said unity should be the immediate priority following the elections, urging party members to close their ranks, heal divisions and put aside personal differences.

He stressed that the interests of the NPP and Ghana should take precedence over individual ambitions.

“At this moment, unity must be our priority. We must close our ranks, heal divisions, put aside personal differences, and place the interests of the NPP and Ghana above individual ambitions,” he said.

He added that the challenges facing the party required the collective efforts of its members and that no contribution should be considered insignificant.

Juanah further pledged his commitment to supporting efforts to rebuild a stronger and more united NPP.

“I remain fully committed to contributing my experience, expertise and energy to this collective effort. I stand ready to work with all members of the Party towards rebuilding a stronger and more united NPP,” he said.

2028 elections

The legal practitioner said the NPP’s broader objective must include securing victory for the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, while also working towards securing a strong parliamentary majority.

He called on members to move beyond the internal contest and focus on the task ahead.

“The election is over. The work begins now. Let us unite, work together and move forward as one Party,” he said.

Juanah expressed hope that the tenure of the newly elected National Executives would usher in a period of unity, reconciliation, discipline and renewed purpose within the NPP.

He concluded his message with the party’s forward-looking rallying call: “One Party. One Purpose. One Mission — Victory 2028.”
