Wamanafo (B/A), May 23, GNA - Nana Owusu Korkor, Headmaster of Wamanafo Senior High School (SHS) in the Dormaa East District of Brong Ahafo Region at the weekend expressed gratitude to the government for providing the academic facility with a bus.

The Headmaster was speaking during an interaction with Mr Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo, Regional Minister during the minister's official tour of Dormaa Municipality and Dormaa East. Nana Korkor who is the Akwamuhene of Tanoso near Techiman said the bus would go a long way assist in the running of the school. The Headmaster lauded Joseph Assignment, a United States-based non-governmental organisation for constructing a 200-capacity two-storey girls' dormitory for the school under the supervision of Wamanafo New Faith Baptist Church International.

Nana Korkor commended the Parent-Teacher Association of the school for teaming up with the District Assembly to provide the school with a 150-capacity boys' dormitory. He appealed to the Regional Co-ordinating Council to help provide the school which is the only technical-based SHS in Dormaa Municipality with additional six-unit classroom block with a library facility to enhance effective teaching and learning. Nana Korkor said the additional classroom would also ease the admission problem of the school. He said the school with a student population of 596 made up of 287 boys and 309 girls would be able to admit about 900 students next academic year if the six-unit classroom block was provided. Mr Nyamekye-Marfo advised the students to eschew indecent dressing.
