This represents a total of 41.98 percent of the figure projected for 2011.

The District Chief Executive, Madam Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, made this known at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly at Breman on Thursday.

She said, in the same vein, the total expenditure to be financed from the IGF is projected at 279,775.59 Ghana cedis.

The DCE said as at the end of July 31, this year, and amount of 135,651.11 had been spent to cover the related expenditures.

She said the need to raise enough IGF to finance the expenditure of the assembly was very important.

The DCE, therefore, appealed to the Assembly Members to assist management in diverse ways to generate the much-needed revenue to facilitate the achievement of their mandate as a District Assembly.

She said one of the main targets of the District Assemblies was to ensure the overall development of their districts.

On the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP), Madam Aboah said a total of 26 communities had been covered in 10 catchments areas.

Currently, a total of 984 caregivers were on the payroll and mentioned some of the payment points as Breman Asikuma, Anhwiam, Baako, Towoboase, Bedum, Amoanda, Odoben and Brakwa.

The DCE appealed to the Assembly Members and people in the area to help to ensure that the needy and vulnerable were the real beneficiaries by taking keen interest in the programme, especially during payments to beneficiaries.
