The Chief Executive Officer of Solomon Bennett Memorial School and kiddies Paradise Pre-School, Miss Grace Sheila Bennett, has advocated the provision of holistic education for Ghanaian children to unearth their God-given talents.
Addressing the first and ninth graduation ceremony for both schools jointly held in Sunyani, Miss Sheila Bennett said the success chalked by the students of the school in the 2011 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) became possible based on holistic education the institution offers right from the crèche to the junior high school level.
The event was under the theme: “Quality Education can only be built on better foundation”.
The Solomon Bennett School has been ranked among the best schools in the Brong-Ahafo region after recording one hundred percent results in the BECE.
All the seventeen pioneer students who sat for the BECE had aggregate six with almost all the students scoring grade one in all subjects. One hundred and twelve pupils also graduated from the kindergarten to the primary department.
Miss Bennett said the school has always sought to promote the educational agenda of Ghana since it believes that implementation is the key to success. “Our dream is to make quality education available to all which we believe is a very strong key to excellence in life”.
She commended the teaching and non teaching staff, parents, students and other stakeholders for contributing to the school’s success story. The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Mr. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, noted that the future of Ghana depends on the quality education offered to children today.
According to him, it is the responsibility of every-body, especially government, parents and teachers, to ensure that Ghana’s future is solidly secured through the provision of quality and holistic education. Mr. Ameyaw Cheremeh applauded the management and staff of the school for putting in place measures to promote academic excellence.
The Guest Speaker, Beatrice Prempeh, a retired director of education, underscored the importance of the day care system in the educational setting in preparing children to adequately go through play and other activity methods to enable them to become familiar with the classroom situation before they begin primary school.
She therefore congratulated the proprietress of Kiddies Paradise Pre-School and Solomon Bennett Memorial School for her foresight in establishing the two schools to offer children in the area access to quality education.

The retired educationist was therefore full of praise for the 17 pioneering students for their sterling performance in the BECE, saying “I doff my hat to the first batch of our junior high school students who are graduating today for recording 100% passes. They have actually set the pace for the rest of the students to emulate”.
The joint graduation ceremony witnessed wonderful performances of several activities including choreography dance, poetry recitals, and fashion shows among others by the pupils of Kiddies Paradise.
