Sheikh Amen Bonsu, the Deputy National Chief Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission, has appealed to Muslim youth to repudiate violence and refuse to be part of any machination to disturb the peace.

He said it should never be lost on them that Islam stands for peace and unity and they should therefore not be involved in any acts likely to undermine the stability and security of the nation.

Sheikh Dr Bonsu, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, was speaking at a conference of the Mission at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District.

He appealed to the members to contribute to the socio-economic development of the society and to support the Mission in its drive to promote education through the provision of more schools.

The Deputy National Chief Imam also encouraged parents to make sure that all their children are enrolled in school and equal opportunity should be given to both the boys and girls. **
