CPC donates to Tetteh Quarshie Hospital

The Cocoa Processing Company of Ghana (CPC) put smiles on the faces of women patients at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital at Akuapem-Mampong in the Eastern Region, when they donated cocoa products to them.

The gifts worth thousands of Ghana Cedis was offered to the patients during the recent Mothers’ Day celebration.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Marketing Manager of CPC Mr Asare Bediako said: “Showing care to mothers on this special day at this hospital is to appreciate mothers for their care and love and Tetteh Quarshie for introducing cocoa to mother Ghana.

He added that, "we (CPC) chose this hospital because the man who introduced cocoa to Ghana (Tetteh Quarshie) had his cocoa farm here (Akuapem- Mampong), and we want mothers in this hospital to also enjoy Ghanaian cocoa products as they celebrate this special day”.

The Deputy Marketing Manager said the company is poised to produce variety of cocoa products onto the Ghanaian and international market as well as boost cocoa production in the country.

The Administrator of the hospital, Divine Nartey, on behalf of the hospital and mothers, commended the company for the unflinching support to mothers.

Some of the cocoa products donated include Alltime, Royale, Tetteh Quarshie Bar Chocolate, ChocoDelight and pebbles.

The company also gave a number of plastic chairs to the hospital.**
