Remember us… · Chief tells Nduom

Thu, 31 May 2012 Source: --

The

chief and people of Manso Amenfi in the Wassa Aemfi West District of the

Western Region have appealed to the flag-bearer of the Progressive People’s

Party (PPP) to make good his promises of providing jobs for the unemployed

youth in the community and developing the town on assumption of office.

Alluding to the Biblical story of Joseph, the chiefs

and people pledged to vote for the PPP because of the party’s good polices on

education, job creation and healthcare that he presented to them but reminded

him to ‘remember us in paradise.’

According to Nana Hyia Agyemang III, his concern

stems from the fact the community has been a victim of numerous unfulfilled

promises from politicians who throng the community in election years to canvass

for the votes of the inhabitants but do not return to the community on

assumption of office.

“We would vote for you because of your policies

which we know are practicable but we are appealing to you to remember this

community when you get there,” the chief said.

The chief made the call when the flag-bearer of the

PPP and his campaign team visited him at his palace yesterday.

Dr Nduom, who had been touring the Western part of

the country, has had his message appreciated by all and sundry in the region,

following his education on the policies and programmes of the Progressive

People’s Party.

The occasion was also used to inaugurate offices of

the party as well as introducing parliamentary candidates for the various

constituencies.

After paying a courtesy call on the Chief of Wassa Akropong,

Kasapreko Kwame Bananyin III, Dr Nduom in a radio interview on a local radio

station, Kasapreko fm, educated the

community on the key areas of the party’s social contract which included job

creation,

healthcare and education.
