Headmaster Petitions President Mahama for a Bus

The Headmaster of the Sekondi Methodist Senior High School (MESEC), Mr.Paul Kwaku Awortwi has reminded President John Dramani Mahama to fulfil his campaign pledge of donating a bus to the school.

According to him, the school which now had a population of 1,700 students made up of 900 boys and 800 girls,was in dire need of a bus to facilitate mobility.

Mr.Awortwi gave this reminder in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Sekondi in the Western Region on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the bus was necessary as it would convey students to and from its new site at Kansawrodo to ease the burden on students from afar who queued at bus terminals and usually got to school at odd hours.

Mr. Awortwi also seized the opportunity to appeal to government to rehabilitate the road from Nkrofo junction to Kansawrodo en route MESEC to enhance the movement of goods and services.

It would be recalled that President Mahama promised MESEC a bus when he made a stop-over in the school at Sekondi to galvanize support as part of his campaign trail of the Western Region prior to the December 2012 general election.
