THE OGUAA Queenmothers' Association founded in 1985 but which became dormant has been revived at a meeting at the conference hall of the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly here.

The revival of the association is also geared towards the revamping of the Central Regional Council of Queen mothers under the chairmanship of Nana Ekua Sasa, queenmother of Abakrampa traditional area.

After the meeting members paid a courtesy call on the Cape Coast Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Muniru Arafat Nuhu, to wish him well.

The Queen mothers regretted that over the past few years, members had not been able to initiate any policies to be achieved and promised that as queenmothers, they are prepared to change their attitude towards the development of the municipality.

They pointed out that the time has come for them to offer suggestions that can enhance the development and progress not only in Cape Coast, or Central Region, but the nation as a whole.

Arafat Nuhu on his part thanked the queenmothers for remembering him and calling on him, and assured them of the assembly's preparedness to support them to be able to deliver.

He called on Nananom and Queenmothers to constantly pray for him since the deliberations and administration of the assembly needed God's guidance and directions at all times.

Other members of the queens included Nana Ekua Abokyi V, Queenmother of the Oguaa traditional area and Nana Ama Peasah II, also of Cape Coast.

According to the Queenmothers their next meeting will come off tomorrow.
