Six institutions in the Asante Akim North Constituency have benefited from an initiative of the Member of Parliament for the area, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, after receiving computers and television sets donated to them by the Legislator.

The beneficiary institutions include the Agogo Police Service, the Asante Akim North office of the National Service Secretariat, Ghana Education Service (GES), Agogo Magistrate Court, and Owerriman Senior High School.

The above institutions received sets of computers at a ceremony held at the MP’s constituency office, whilst the Agogo Hospital received a 45-inch flat screen TV and a Multi TV decoder to be fitted at the Out-Patient Department of the hospital.

The presentation formed part of efforts by the MP to create an enabling working environment for personnel of the respective institutions, and motivate them to render better services to the constituents.

According to the MP, it was also in response to an urgent appeal made to him during his recent tour to the various institutions within the constituency.

He said, as a newly-created district, most of the institutions lacked the basic amenities and logistics to ensure an effective and efficient administration, hence his decision to support them.

Kwadwo Baah, therefore, urged the beneficiary staff to make good use of the items as a service to the nation, and pledged that he would continue to support them anytime funds are available.
