The Bureau for Internal Affairs (BIA), the centre for intelligence gathering for public concern, has called on the Inspector General of Police and National Security, to investigation double sales of land at Krokrobite.

The bureau has received a number of complaints from the public that lands they bought, some years back, are are being sold by some chiefs, who are forging the documents covering those properties and the phenomenon is causing fear and anxiety.

Mr Godfred Nkrumah, Co-ordinating Director of BIA told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that these chiefs are involving land guards, who are preventing people from getting access to their sites.

He said one of such victims is a 75-year old lady, who acquired her land in 1993, which has been allegedly sold to the Church of Pentecost in Krokrobite.

The BIA said the Ga South District Assembly, has intercepted some fake documents presented to the officials for building permits.

Mr Nkrumah therefore called on the Police to arrest people found culpable as well as surveyors who aid and connive with the practice.
