Abuakwa (Ash), Dec 15, GNA - The Rev Patrick Boamah, Kwadaso District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has appealed to pastors to exhibit a high sense of discipline in their lifestyles so that they do not lead their flock astray.
"We must practice what we preach if we are to be good shepherds of the flock."
The Rev Boamah, who was preaching at the induction of Rev Gibson Brefo into office as the new minister in-charge of the Abuakwa sub-district of the Presbyterian Church, told church leaders to devote much more attention to children's ministry.
This way, he said, the youth would be exposed to the Presbyterian discipline in the wake of the gross indiscipline among the youth. The Rev Brefo asked churches not to over indulge their members in the spiritual aspects of their development only to the neglect of their civic rights and responsibilities.
He called on churches to incorporate civic education into their activities to enable their members to be able to contribute effectively to policies and programmes that affected them.
