Juaso (Ash) Jan. 14, GNA - Mr Kwasi Asante-Gyeabour, NPP Constituency Chairman for Asante-Akim South, at the weekend called on members of the party to remain united to ensure victory for the party in this year's election.

"We should stop bickering, back biting and peddling of unsubstantiated rumours against members of the party," he advised, adding that, such negative acts would rather divide their front, than strengthen it.

Mr Asante-Gyeabour said the constituency benefited from a number of projects including schools and urinals.

"Let us keep the electorate well informed about the good work the NPP government has done, and is doing to reduce poverty among the rural people through the poverty alleviation fund, which is being shared on non-party lines," he urged.

Members appealed to the Constituency Chairman to liase with the District Assembly to use some of the HIPC Fund to construct a block for the kindergarten in the area.

They expressed concern about the encroachment of school lands by private developers and called on the Chief and the Assembly to check the practice.

The members also called on the Assembly to find a solution to unsanitary condition of public toilets, which they said had to be dislodged to avoid an epidemic. 14 Jan. 04
