Saint Paul's Church elects new church council

Kumasi, Jan.26, GNA- The Amakom Saint Paul's church in Kumasi on Sunday, elected and inaugurated a 39-member council into a three year term of office.

Mr Kofi Boama, a businessman and the incumbent President retained his post with Mr Joseph Bio, an auditor also retained his post as vice-president, while the post of secretary went to Mr Joseph Donkor, an educationist who took over from Mr John Ankrah. Inaugurating the council, the Very Reverend Father Philip Opoku Nyame, the Parish Priest called on those elected to serve on the council to do so with commitment.

He challenged them to work hard to propagate the gospel and be tolerant of other people's opinions. Very Rev. Father Nyame told them that the work was sacrificial and should therefore pray constantly for God's guidance to enable them discharge their duties to expectation. Mr Boamah on behalf of his colleagues, pledged to be submissive, humble and work in close collaboration with all for the proper development of the people and the growth of the church.
