Accra, Jan. 30, GNA - The Great Lamptey Mills Institute, a private basic school in Accra, has released a four-minute musical production, which touches on various acts of indiscipline. It is the Institute's contribution to the Government's Campaign For Greater Discipline.
The proprietor of the Institute, Mr Enoch Lamptey-Mills on Friday, presented a videotape copy to Mr O.B. Amoah, Special Assistant on Legal Affairs to Vice President Aliu Mahama, at the Castle, Osu for onward transmission to the Vice President.
Mr Amoah commended the Institute for responding to the Vice President's call to every Ghanaian to assist in saving the society from degenerating into a jungle.
He said the Institute's musical clips on Peace, HIV/ AIDS and Sanitation, which were shown on television, were worthy productions for promoting positive behaviour.
Speaking to Journalists, Mr Kwame Agyei Damptey, Public Relations Officer of the Institute, said the clip captured negative attitudes such as using office hours to work lotto; lazy teachers; corrupt Chief Executives and bad Journalists, among others.
He explained that the Institute used music video for education because of the power of music and television as instruments of change.
Mr Damptey urged Ghanaians to accept the Institute's contribution and adopt positive lifestyles and attitudes to maintain discipline, which was crucial for development, in Ghana.
Vice President Mahama, in 2002 launched the Campaign, under the theme: ""Do The Right Thing" on behalf of the Government.
He called for an end to lateness to work, poor reception of customers and clients, negative attitude towards Government property, disregard for road regulations and signs and the many acts of indiscipline that pervaded all spheres of life.
