The Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Nana Kwadwo Seinti, has warned party activists of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be more concerned with the organisation of the party rather than scrambling for positions and material gains.

He said if party activists continue to think about themselves instead of the party, it could lead to unforeseen consequences like the party losing power.

Nana Seinti was addressing a special fund raising programme organised by the Dormaa East Constituency of the NPP at Wamfie on Sunday. He noted that some members of the party in position of trust were scrambling for property, fearing that the party could lose power at anytime.

?As they are money conscious, the situation has resulted in many internal wrangling among party members which have now become the bane of the party,? he said.

The Regional Minister said, ?the problem of the NPP is not the National Democratic Congress (NDC) but ourselves. Unless we eschew bickering and backbiting among ourselves, there can never be progress for the party.

The Deputy Finance and Economic Planning Minister, contributing recalled a statement by the vice-president, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, that many party members were clamoring for property, because of the fear that the party could collapse anytime and said that should not be the case. He urged all and sundry to be patriotic and contribute positively to national development.

The fund raising programme chaired by Mr. Kwadwo Fordjour, Regional Party Chairman, realised over ?50million.
