Let's put Ghana first at all times - Tarkwa-Nsuaem MCE tells Esuoso youth

The entire town of Esuoso was thrown into a state of happiness and merrymaking amidst singing and dancing in a brass band possession as the inhabitants besieged the streets to welcome Hon Gilbert Ken Asmah, Municipal Chief Executive, MCE for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality and his entourage in Esuoso last Friday.

For almost an hour, human activities came to a standstill as adults and children trooped in to catch a glimpse of the much talked about hardworking, selfless and humble President's representative in Tarkwa-Nsuaem.

Hon Asmah expressed gratitude for the overwhelming reception accorded him by the people of Esuoso and further reiterated his committed to strengthening his ties with the people in the area.

He commended the organizers and Executives of the Youth Association for taking up such an initiative which seeks to Enhance Youth and Community Development and also promote Peace and Solidarity in Esuoso.

He further challenged the youth for the need to adopt a sense of patriotism towards nation building at all times.

"We must eschew all forms of partisan approach towards nation building after elections, this he believes was the best way put Ghana on a pedestal globally," he said.

According to him the youth forms the larger chunk of the population in Ghana, you are the engine of growth as far as the development of the economy is concerned; your contribution to nation building is essential and worth commending".

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem MCE made this submission when delivering his key note address during the official launching of the ESUOSO YOUTH ASSOCIATION, EYA.

Hon Gilbert Asmah used the occasion to remind the youth about the Nation Builders Corps, NABCO a government initiative which is geared towards curbing the unemployment canker among the graduates in the country.

"My outfit is always ready to assist you that regard, he noted".

Mr. George Baidoo, an executive member of the Esuoso Youth Association during his presentation commended the MCE for his remarkable achievement in the area of culvert projects, link roads, grading and reshaping of roads, apprenticeship training, health facilities, job placement, education among others.

He underscored the need for all to rally behind Hon K.D Asmah to deliver more, we are very optimistic that you will transform Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality into a model one by the time your eight-year tenure in office expires. he added.

The Assembly Member for Esuoso electoral area, Hon Margaret Damoah for he part commended the youth for introducing such laudable idea which she believes will unite and enhance a formidable agenda towards the development of Esuoso, she mentioned.

Some dignitaries present at the colourful gathering include Hon Richard Ntsiako, Government appointee, Chiefs and elders of Esuoso, Municipal Director of National Youth Authority, Representatives from Mining Companies.
