The Aowin Municipal Assembly in the Western Region has supported over 200 people living with disabilities.
The items include fridges, hair dryers, sewing machines, physical cash all amounting to Ghc 105,700.
The donations were in different categories such as educational support, skills training, medical support and income generation.
Delivering the items to the beneficiaries, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin, Mr. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi said the government and for that matter, the Assembly has the desire to alleviate the challenges of the physically challenged and make lives bearable for them.
The MCE advised those who found themselves in various schools that the Assembly has been supporting them to study hard in order to be successful in various professions in the future.
He said, to those who in skills training section to be humble to their masters and mistresses and to be trained and come out successfully.
The MCE said those who are into income generation to use the monies giving to them judiciously in order to expand their businesses.
"You are not the only people who are to benefit from this foundation. Those who did not the monies will also be benefiting when the next found was available", he advised.
The MCE said, the Assembly has lobbied to add more 30 communities who will soon be benefiting from Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP).
He said over 1,260 households will soon benefiting from the LEAP program.
