He is optimistic that a split of the Northern Region into three will attract more investors.

Special voting in 47 districts

Ahead of the Referendum, the Electoral Commission (EC) conducted special voting in the earmarked regions.

Security personnel, officers of the Electoral Commission and a cross section of the media took part in the exercise at the Brong Ahafo, Western, Northern and Volta regions.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has countlessly defended the proposed creation of additional six regions.
