Christian Support Network, founded by veteran US army officer, Pastor Princess Rebecca Fornah, has presented food items, toiletries and clothing worth GH¢4,000 to the children of the Teshie Orphanage.

The donation, formed part of the Princess Fornah Network’s first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) since it was established some few months ago.

The gesture was also a channel to foster the vision of the Network which is to transform lives with the love and word of God, with a mission to raise confidence in individuals globally.

“This is because I feel that there are times in life that people become complacent. These children, some of whom are orphans, sometimes find themselves in situations where they are made to believe they are just orphans and nothing more. So the campaign is to let them, as well as other vulnerable groups, know they are not just orphans…but more,” she observed.

Princess Fornah, a pastor in-charge of one of the US missions of Royalhouse Chapel International, shared her life story with the children to encourage them not to give up but strive through the odds to be who God wants them to be.

“Being a Sierra Leonean in America was not easy, I have lived on the streets of US before but through perseverance and the hand of God, today I stand here as a US army veteran. So don’t look at your present situation and say nothing good can come out of you, study hard and your dreams can come through with God on your side,” she told the children.

She said her Network would organise an empowerment conference dubbed: “Made for More” in Ohio, USA, on April 6 this year and hoped the Good news would spread to other countries of the world.

Moses Lamptey, the Acting Administrator of the Home, who received the items, expressed the profound gratitude of the children for the kind gesture and prayed to God to help the Network achieve its vision and mission.

He appealed to other Organisations to emulate the gesture and come to their aid, especially with the construction of a dormitory for the children.

He said the Home had started constructing a dormitory to enable it to accommodate the children better and extend support to other children.

“The dormitory is 90 percent complete and we appeal to the public to help us complete it, so that we can help many other kids in our various communities that need help.”
