The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA) has ended its 2019 town hall engagement with residents of Oyibi, Nanoman, Seduasi, and Bawaleshi (ONSBAC) Zonal council.

The town hall engagement was organized in line with section 40 of the Local Government Act 936, which mandates the Municipal Assembly to interact with the local residents to account for stewardship and share ideas on development.

Mr Noble Atsu Ahadzi, Municipal Budget Analyst, expressed gratitude to the residents for their enormous support to the Municipal Assembly since its Inception in 2012.

Mr Ahadzi explained that the Municipal Assembly would readily listen and address concerns of residents about Assembly programmes and policies.

The Municipal Budget Analyst added that residents must provide accurate information to the Municipal Assembly on their properties for accurate documentation and called on them to pay their rates promptly to the Assembly.

"If you incite someone not to pay his rate, it's an offence and you could be prosecuted," he warned.

The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly has four Zonal Councils which included Kakasunanka, Nmlitsakpo, Sebrepor, Bethlehem, Gbetsile (KAMSBERG), Zenu, Katamanso, Apolonia Santour(ZEKAS), Oyibi, Nanoman, Seduasi, Bawaleshi (ONSBAC) and Kpone Zonal Councils

Nii Okai Sha V, Oyibi Mantse, thanked the KKMA officials for exhibiting patience and maturity, especially when answering questions and explaining issues.

He advised that such public hearing should be done frequently to keep the residents informed.

Nii Sha V noted that the residents must adhere to the directives of the Assembly to bring development to their communities.
