Abronye DC donated 24 motorbikes and GHC72,000 to all the twelve Constituencies
The Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono region, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC has donated 24 motorbikes and GHC72,000 to all the twelve Constituencies in the region.
The donation is to help facilitate the 'Operation 12 Seats Agenda' in the Region launched by him.
Chairman Abronye gave each Constituency 2 motorbikes plus GHC6,000 to support the 'Agenda'.
Abronye made the donation during his birthday celebration on May 5, 2019 in the Dormaa East Constituency of the region.
Presenting the donation to the party, Abronye noted that "This donation is targeted at resourcing the party at the grassroot level to ensure victory come 2020".
He, therefore, charged the party leadership at the Constituency levels to take proper care of the motorbikes to achieve it intended purpose.
He urged them to work hard to propagate the good works of President Akufo-Addo.
He seized the opportunity to reveal that President Akufo-Addo if God permit he will contest the 2020 general elections.
According to him, the President is motivated to run again because of the passion he has for the job and also that four years will not be enough for him to execute all his plans for a better Ghana.
He also believe the President is the right person to make the positive change become a reality and therefore lacing his boots to contest the 2020 elections.
Speaking to close section of the media after the presentation, Chairman Abronye DC said “it is important to empathize that, elections are won at the polling stations and constituency levels therefore, it is necessary and prudent to resource the party at the grassroots level to ensure power is maintained in 2020.”
"I can confirm that President Nana Addo is lacing his boot to contest election 2020 to continue his good work…we cannot allow NDC to come back and destroy the good work of NPP and Nana Addo,” he stressed.
He also noted that the outfit of the regional chairman is committed to resourcing the party at the various polling stations and the constituency levels for victory 2020.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Constituencies in the Dormaa East Constituency, Lawyer Oppong Twumasi commended Abronye for the support and pledged to distribute to all the Constituencies immediately.
He urged Abronye to work hard for the party and also pleaded with him to do more for the grassroots.
Lawyer Tumasi seized the opportunity to call on the members of the party to rally behind Abronye to make the party attractive.
On his part, the Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahene described the initiative by the Regional Chairman, Abronye as unprecedented in the history of the region.
He also called on the Constituencies to rally behind President Akufo-Addo to win the 2020 general elections.
He charged them not to be swayed by the propaganda of the opposition National Democratic Congress and remain focus to support 'The Operation 12 Seats Agenda' in the Region.
