Another Toyota Hilux pick-up vehicle belonging to a Pharmacist in Tamale has been snatched at gunpoint by unknown persons, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.

This comes barely a month after the same model of vehicle with registration ER 3516-19 belonging to the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council was allegedly snatched by armed men in the same town.

In the case of the latest, the vehicle with registration number GE 1566-17 was snatched by the armed men at the gate of the victim’s home at Foe, a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis at about 10pm according to the police.

While waiting for the main entrance of his gate to be open, the bandits numbering about three signaled him to roll down his side glasses but when he was resistant they pointed guns at him, took the vehicle, bundled and blindfolded him into it.

He was then taken to a village called Taha and left in the care of two others who were waiting on a motorbike after which the vehicle and the other occupants sped off.

The other two believed to be their local accomplices kept watch over him in the bush until at dawn when they freed him and also went their own way.

The Northern Regional Police Command confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com but disclosed that it is still under investigation after the victim officially lodged a complaint with them.

It would be recalled that on 4th of July, 2019, the Savannah Regional Minister Hon. Adam Salifu Braimah was traveling to Accra by flight for a meeting and parked his Toyota Hilux pick up with registration number ER 3516-19 at IIliasu’s house.

On 6th of July, 2019, at about 9:00pm two armed men wielding AK 47 riffles reportedly went to the house of Illiasu and took the vehicle away.

The robbers also took away the victim’s iPhone 7plus and Samsung A6plus mobile phones and cash of GH¢200.00 and took him to an unknown location where they dropped him off and went away with the vehicle.
