Instead of waiting on government and the Municipal Assembly to fix potholes that have dotted major streets in the Navrongo township, a group of young men have taken up the responsibility to fix the defects.
With cement, gravel and stone chippings acquired with their own funding, the youth have moved out onto the town's streets, fixing all the "killer" potholes they come across.
The move comes after several calls, by residents of Navrongo, on government and the Municipal Assembly to repair all road defects went unheard.
Several cases of maiming and death of the town's productive young men and women have been recorded as a result of the poor nature of roads in the area.
Two of such huge, "killer" potholes that the youth have seriously focused their energies at are located near the Navrongo Central Prison facility and Navrongo township - Sandema road.
