Papramantang (E/R), May 09, GNA - A District Director of Education has appealed to stakeholders in education delivery to mount vigorous enrolment drive to increase enrolment in their schools. Mr Stephen Peter-Andoh, the District Director of Education for Fanteakwa, said this at the launch of enrolment drive for schools at Papramantang, near Begoro last week.

He expressed concern about the low enrolment in some schools, especially in the deprived areas, saying the situation affected teacher supply in the district.

Mr Peter-Andoh reminded parents of the significance of the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education (FCUBE) programme and urged them to send their children to school to benefit from the programme from next academic year.

He appealed to School Management Committees and Parent Teacher Association to visit their schools regularly to identify problems facing them for early solutions to enhance effective teaching and learning.
