Red Cross and Hospital treat patients with eye diseases

Wenchi (B/A) May 16, GNA-The Brong- Ahafo branch of the Ghana Red Cross Society in conjunction with the Methodist Hospital at Wenchi has successfully treated 71 patients with various eye diseases. Mr. Alphonsus W. Kuuso, ophthalmic nurse at the Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency at Wenchi on Monday said most of the patients treated were with refractive errors, conjunctivitis, corneal, ulcers, minor injuries, uveitis and glaucoma.

He said people with eye defects could visit the Hospital on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for consultation and treatment. Mr. B.C.K. Botwe, Deputy Health Services Administrator of the Hospital, commended the Hospital and the Red Cross for initiating the programme
