Rev Kingsley Appiah-Agyei has supported the students of Boa-Amposem Senior High School
The Head Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church, Rev Kingsley Appiah-Agyei has supported the students of the Boa-Amposem Senior High School(SHS) at Dunkwa-Onfing in the Central Region after fire gutted the ware of the students last year.
The Head Pastor who was a former student of the school presented some used clothes worth several thousands of Cedis of Ghana to support the students to enable them to cope after the fire burnt down their dormitory.
Presenting the Three bails of Khaki trousers and whites shirts to the school on behalf of the Head Pastor; Laison Officer of the Head Pastor, Mr Jones Owusu Yeboah in the company Mr Charles Afari-Mensah, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the area and also an old student said the Head Pastor was touched by the plight of the students when the fire occurred last year.
He said the clothes were in response to the calls the students made after the fire burnt all their belongings including their informs.
According to him, the Head Pastor being a former student of the school was touched by this hence his decision to support them at this time of their needs.
He said his boss knowing how difficult it will for students without clothes for classes got a few friends together to come to the aid of the students.
He took the opportunity to urge all school management boards to collaborate with the Electricity Company of Ghana and the Ghana National Fire Service to educate the students on the use of some gadgets in their dormitories.
Receiving the items on behave of the students, the Head Teache of the school Madam Grace Anopong thanked the pastor for not forgetting his Alma Mata.
According to her, the items have come at the right time especially when the weather is cold here.
