Women Development Foundation Worships feeds over 500 prisoners

The Women Development Foundation (W.D.F) in Collaboration with Anowah Ministries led a spirit filled worship session and dined with the inmates of the Awutu Prisons in the Central Region as well as the Female and Male Prisons of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

More than 500 packed foods and sanitary pads worth thousands of Ghana cedis were distributed to the inmates of the various prisons.

The Founder and President of Women Development Foundation (W.D.F) Noble Catherine N.E.A Coffie (FCIDA) admonishes the inmates after a Holy Spirit led worship to have a renewal of mind in Christ Jesus, free themselves of anger despite whatever circumstances that might have brought them there.

The Founder also pledged to provide casual attire for the inmates of Awutu prisons in the next five (5) years.

The Officer in Charge of the Awutu Prison was very grateful for the kind gesture and added that the Prison was able to put up ICT CENTRE for the inmates and appeal to WDF and other organizations to come to their aid with desktop or laptop computers amongst other essential items.

The WDF team moved to the female Prison of the Nsawam Prison, had lunch with them and donated some sanitary pads to the inmates.

Palm oil, dried fish, 100bags of water, mattresses, cloths, exercise books among others to the Senior Correctional Centre of the Ghana Prison Service at Roman Ridge Accra. The Founder Noble Catherine Coffie also adopted 5 dormitories of the Correctional Centre and is also to provide inmate’s uniforms for the next 10yrs.

WDF marked Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day (6th March) 2020 celebration with the needy and the homeless on the streets of Ashaiman, to ease the feeding problem for most of the inmates for that afternoon.
