Ahomka-Lindsay donates medical equipment, supplies to Kumawu Constituency

The Ahomka Foundation (TAF) in partnership with KNBF Canada and support from The Sunda Group (Ghana), has shipped a full 40’ft ocean container of Medical Equipment, Medical Supplies and Consumables from Ghana worth over Ghs 3 million to Ghana for distribution to all the 14 Medical Facilities in the Kumawu Constituency, at this particularly testing time for all Health Professionals and Health Facilities to help take care of the good people that rely on them for their Health care.

In total, over 2,000 items will be distributed across the Constituency.

On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April, 2020, Robert Ahomka-Lindsay, the Deputy Minister of Trade & Industry (a Patron of TAF) together with the Chief Executive Officer of The Ahomka Foundation, Mrs. Jacqueline Ahomka-Lindsay and some stakeholders donated to each of the 14 Facilities and ensured adherence to the Spatial Distancing protocols at this time of the Coronavirus.

The medical equipment donated include, hospital beds and mattresses, wheelchairs, examination beds, stretchers, Medical consumables, IV poles and Infant Warmer and supplies. The Foundation also donated Medical soap, handwashing soap, Toilet rolls, washing powder and gloves to all the 14 Facilities to aid government’s effort in curbing the spread of the global pandemic, Covid-19. In all over 2,000 items worth over GHS 3 million, were donated to the 14 Facilities.

The 14 Medical facilities in the Sekyere Kumawu District who benefited from the donations were in the following towns:

Abotanso, Akrofonso, Akrokyere, Asekyerewa, Banko, Bodomase, Bomeng, Dadease, Kumawu, Oyoko,Sekyere,Temate, Wioso,Woraso.

The Ahomka Foundation (TAF) is an NGO focused on activities that seek to support and promote the general wellbeing of the Ghanaian citizenry. The objective of the Foundation is to be involved in charitable activities for the purpose of assisting less privileged sectors of our society.
