Divine Otoo Agorhom presenting relief items
The New Patriotic Party Greater Accra has donated items to all 34 constituencies in the region towards the fight against COVID-19.
The items include Veronica Buckets, gallons of Alcohol-based hand sanitizers, liquid soaps, medicated soaps, bucket stands, washing bowls amongst others.
The cost of the items is not readily known because these are items that have been contributed by the NPP National, Regional Executives and Individuals in the party.
In doing the donation the regional chairman, Hon. Divine Otoo Agorhom lauded the efforts of the President H.E. Nana Akufo Addo for his decisive and sterling leadership in the wake of the pandemic. He also thanked well-meaning Ghanaians and organisations for their tremendous support towards the fight through their various donation.
He was however quick to add that the items being donated by the region are going to NPP constituency executives to identify public places and homes that are heavily trafficed.
We could have said they should place them in NPP strongholds and homes but that is not the way it should go. Every person irrespective of party should be able to benefit from the items, either to wash their hands or sanitize them.
Other regional executives present were the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Organiser and Director of Communication. Also present were Parliamentary Candidates and Chairmen who came to support and to receive the donation on behalf of their constituencies.
