A mobile money vendor, Jakpa Brakinso Fuseini, believed to be in his 30s has been stabbed multiple times by an unknown masked man at Fufulso in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
He was stabbed while struggling to retrieve his money bag from the unknown man.
The incident happened around 9:00 pm Wednesday at the Fufulso Lorry Station.
According to the victim, who is currently receiving treatment at the Yapei Health Center, he was at his sales point when the young man in mask approached him and ordered him to hand over his money bag to him.
“By the time he stabbed me, I had stretched my hand so the knife got my hand, and to my ribs. He ran away when I shouted for help,” he said.
He added: “However, he was not able to take anything from me.”
This is the second time the young man has been attacked.
Early this year, he was attacked at his residence where an amount of GH¢2,000 was taken from him.
The matter has since been reported to the Yapei police.
