Kumasi, Dec.19, GNA- Over 4,000 Ahmadis on Wednesday held open prayers at Ahmadiyya High School park to thank God for the mercies and blessings bestowed on them as they celebrate Eid Adha. The adherents with their children also prayed for continued blessings from God, prosperity and peace in the country and the world at large.

Maulvi Talib Yacob, Ashanti Regional Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission who led the prayers, admonished the worshippers to let peaceful co-existence and unity of cooperation be the hallmark of the lives.

He stressed that the occasion encourages them to unite and share whatever they have with their relatives and friends.

He said the slaughtering of sheep and other animals indicated sacrifices in their lives at all levels, adding that the occasion also reminded them of working hard to improve on their living standards. He said, as the nation enters election year, they should pray for peaceful and successful elections.
